Ben Phillips

Ben Phillips is Lecturer in Russian at the University of Exeter. His research focuses on the political, cultural and intellectual history of late-imperial Russia, with a particular focus on revolutionary movements, the radical intelligentsia, exile, emigration and transnational connections. He is the author of Inventing Revolutionary Russia: Siberian Exile and the Transnational Mythologies of Russian Radicalism 1825-1917 (Routledge, forthcoming 2021), and is a co-convenor of the ARRN.
