Guy Woodward‘s research focuses on reassessing the literary and cultural histories of Ireland and Britain in the mid-twentieth century. He is particularly interested in cultural interactions between Ireland, Britain, eastern Europe, the Balkans and the Soviet Union, and specifically in the East-West activities of artists and writers in Ireland and Britain in the early years of the Cold War. He is the author of Culture, Northern Ireland, and the Second World War (2015) and the co-editor of Irish Culture and Wartime Europe, 1938-1948 (2015).
